Richmond Art Center Summer Exhibitions

Check out the Richmond Art Center with three engaging exhibits currently on view: Members Annual in the Main Gallery; a wonderful retrospective of work by Terry St. John, Close Views & Distant Vistas; and Our Town juried by Jack Fischer. I was pleasantly surprised to see my painting “It Goes Without Saying” on display through the portal into the main gallery.

Flower pods pounded from metal, shadows cast on a walkway, tree trunks and nests made of glass, watercolors larger than life, exuberant colorful oil paintings.

I encourage everyone to visit this exquisite show at the Harrington Gallery in Pleasanton, CA, thoughtfully curated by Julie Finegan of the Firehouse Arts Center. The exhibit showcases the work of seven artists, who use a range of materials to express their experiences of nature. Beautifully installed, the energy of these works flows from room to room, offering an oasis of harmony in a turbulent world.
