What’s on my palette

IMG_2122Combinations of Indanthrene Blue, Alizarin Permanent, Indian Yellow, Courbet Green, and probably Raw Umber, tinting with Titanium White. The mixes seem to be going in a wintry direction. I’ve been applying these same colors with different ratio mixes and concentrations of saturation as I expand the Out Loud series.

Borders, Edges, and Seams at Studio Channel Islands, Camarillo, CA

Life’s interesting tidbits can often be found hidden in the seams, lurking at edges or shut out by the borders. A selected group of artists interpret this theme through a variety of art forms. Join us for the reception on Saturday, August 5, 4pm to 6pm.

Juror: Carol Sauvion is an American crafts scholar and patron, and the producer of the PBS series Craft in America. After opening the Freehand Gallery in Los Angeles in 1980 and launching Craft in America in 2007, she opened the Craft in America Study Center in 2009.
